Choc-quib-town is an Afro-Columbian hip-hop crew repping Columbia‘s (mainly black) Pacific coast communities. Columbian music is still largely associated to its Caribbean styles (Cumbia, Mapalé, Fandango, Gaita) and with all things Cumbia being so hip these days in Montreal, it’s refreshing to hear some of what is popping on its West Coast. And it looks like the kids from Choc-quib definitely have their heads wrapped around what videos of legend are made of: school kids, sombreros and hot men in pink ruffle suits. Check it out.
